Studio G7 presents From Afar - In lontananza, Davide Tranchina's first solo exhibition hosted by the gallery. The project, curated by Jessica Bianchera, is part of the artist's research, which has always focused on the theme of observing as a pretext for reflecting on the very nature of photography. In particular, here Tranchina decides to re-elaborate a recurring theme in his work, the concept of distance.

Inspired by the visionaries, the so-called places of vision and of the relationship between the object and the space of inspiration, the works on display show landscapes conceived to be observed from afar and, at the same time, from which you can look far away. What we receive is the metaphysical gaze, reconstructed through those same scenarios set in an epiphany of light. Through an invention game, Tranchina shapes different landscapes and then irradiates them through a backlight, dematerializing their features and portraying them using photography.

The same shaping and layering process is applied to the walls of the gallery, proposing a site-specific work where the artist uses negative paper matrices to generate a further impossible and elusive landscape.
